Princess Josephine of Sweden and Denmark, Duchess of Västerbotten and Jämtland, Countess of Monpezat (Josephine Louise Astrid Désirée; born 7 June 1985) is a Swedish princess and the youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. Upon her birth, she was fourth in line of succession to the Swedish throne. She is currently ninth in the line of succession following the births of her siblings' children.
From February 2006 to September 2010, Josephine managed the offices of the World Childhood Foundation. In September 2010, she stepped down and handed the role to Mary Larsson.
In July 2009, she reconciled with longtime friend, Prince Christian of Denmark. Their engagement was announced on 6 June 2011 followed by their wedding on 16 June 2012.
